Guess Who's Back

Gentlemen,

It has come to my attention that the Metros League Fantasy Football Draft is scheduled for August 20th at 10 pm CST. That is exactly nine days from the time of this writing. Football is coming.

Last year Team Lee defeated the Angry Wookiees in the championship game by 26 points. Time will tell if Team Lee comes up with a more creative team name this year.

It's an 8-team league this year in hopes that everyone will check their lineup and participate in trades. Fantasy football is more fun if you are actively involved! The trash talk has already started in the draft announcement group text. I'm sure Terry and Plumer are thrilled.

I hope you are prepared for the draft! If you aren't it's going to be OK, you have nine days to do some research. I have three things I'm interested to see this year:

1. Cam Newton

Can Cam Newton replicate his stellar 23 ppg performance from last season? It will be interesting to see how he plays with the pressure of having Superbowl 0 appearances so far in his all-star career.

2. The Los Angeles Rams

Can the same team with a new name produce any success on the field? Hard Knocks debuted this week and the overwhelming feedback from critics and consumers is that the Rams' coaching staff is not in control and the front office has no clue what the product on the field should look like. I am curious to find out how the return to LA will treat the Rams.

3. Robert Griffin III

RGIII is #1 on the depth chart in Cleveland, a team that has seen one or two quarterbacks come and go in the last five years. With Kelvin Benjamin and other deep threats on offense, Griffin has a chance to make an impact and prove the doubters wrong.
