Week 13 in Review

The last week of the regular season is in the books!

After Week 13 the West Division looks like this:

Two direction and Plumer head to the playoffs. Two direction will be the #1 seed and Plumer was awarded the #3 seed. The other three teams will get a chance to improve their overall record in the consolation bracket. We’ll get to those matchups in a minute. (spell-check is telling me that "matchups" isn't a word but I don't even care)

The East Division looks like this:

Well.

Corn on the Kolb goes to the playoffs as the #2 seed. But My Jim Schwartz are dirty, despite his 5-game win streak and 4-3-1 record against division opponents, is headed to the consolation bracket. Angry Wookie, with his two week losing streak and 2-5-1 record in the division, will be the #4 seed and face the might of Two Direction.

The author agrees without bias that this is ridiculous. The commissioner of the league is baffled as well. This is a travesty and we can only hope that those dirty Jim Schwartz do their best in the consolation bracket and still salvage some glory. Meanwhile Angry Wookie will hope for the best against the top scoring team in the league.

I went 2-3 this week. That brings me to 6-6 overall. Playoff predictions and power rankings should be up by Thursday evening.

Week 13 is upon us. I’m sitting on the couch waiting to leave and head to the turkey dinner, so the power rankings will be abbreviated this week. Have a good holiday and don’t eat too much turkey.

Team Plumer 119 at My Jim Schwartz are dirty

- Plumer is the darkhorse favorite to win the league at this point. Jim’s winning streak ends and so do their playoff hopes.

Corn on the Kolb 120 at 110 Cardinal Nation

- Paper beats Rock, Father beats Son.  

Team Mexico 75 vs 70 Grilled Brees Shamich

- This one will be close, could go either way, wow, high scoring game, yeah.

Paris fredette Two Direction 115 vs 60 Team 8

- Why do people start playing fantasy and then never check their team after week 2?

Angry Wookie 100 vs 95 Team Skooter

- This week is just depressing. Let’s skip to the playoffs.

Week 12 in Review

Well that was a fun week!

After Week 12 the West Division looks like this:

Nothing much changed. Two Direction and Plumer are still headed to the playoffs with the best records in the league. Mexico reached the .500 mark and is favored heading into the final game of the season against Shamich.

Remember those matchups we talked about last week? Well Skooter and Wookie both lost. That puts Skooter out of reach of the playoffs and Wookie dangerously close to missing them as well. It appears ESPN doesn’t take into account division records when deciding playoff berths. That’s a real shame, because Jim Schwartz is on a 4 game winning streak and has a winning record against division opponents. Too little, too late.
